Utilizatorii de internet pe TV vor putea naviga pe YouTube XL folosind atât unităţile de comandă ale consolelor de jocuri Nintendo Wii sau PlayStation 3, cât şi telecomanda de televizor sau anumite modele de telefoane mobile.
Accesibil şi în orice browser de internet, noua platformă de video sharing are o structură simplificată faţă de varianta originală, fiind lipsită, printre altele, de opţiunea alegerii variantelor de videoclipuri High Definition sau High Quality. De asemenea, odată începută vizionarea unui clip video, la terminarea acestuia se poate alege ca în continuare să ruleze următoarele fişiere pe acelaşi subiect.
YouTube a fost creat în februarie 2005 de trei foşti angajaţi ai companiei PayPal, cu sloganul “Broadcast Yourself”. Platforma foloseşte tehnologia video Adobe Flash pentru a oferi o mare varietate de produse media, precum filme, videoclipuri, emisiuni TV, scurtmetraje originale şi înregistrări făcute de amatori.

Also, getting from one video to the next takes just a few clicks, and you can control the action with a blue tooth enabled remote control, or even some mobile phones.
